Snyder Industries 3000 Gallon Black Vertical Storage Tank

Why the slim shell

A 90 inch circle is a small footprint for 3,000 gallons, so this is the tank for a row of tanks on one containment, for the corner of a plant between a wall and a lane, or for the pad that was poured for a smaller tank. It is the usual choice for a treatment chemical day tank at a water or wastewater plant, a rinse or process water tank in a plant, a liquid fertilizer tank at a grower, and a water reserve at a remote building with little ground to spare. Slim means tall: ten and a half feet of empty black cylinder catches wind, so it is strapped to structure or anchored before the first fill, and the manway is reached from a platform or a tall step. In return the full tank gives a pump at grade a good column of head. The pad carries all 25,020 lb of water on the 90 inch circle, more at the rating, because a rotationally moulded tank bears on its whole floor; engineer it to our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, with containment where the liquid is regulated. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. Your valve, camlock or pipe adapter threads straight in. Fit a flexible connector to hard pipe and carry the first valve on a support off the pad, so the wall carries liquid and not hardware.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, for the fill hose, a float and a brush. Keep the vent clear; a tall tank pulls a strong vacuum if a pump draws against a blocked vent.
3. Liquid and temperature. Polyethylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals to 120 F. Check anything aggressive with us before the order; a liquid heavier than 1.5 times water needs a heavy duty wall, not this tank.
