The mistake to avoid
The single most common error on a cone-bottom chem tank is matching the fitting and gasket to the tank wall instead of to the chemical. The XLPE shell tolerates a wide range of chemistries, but a PVC nipple or the wrong elastomer gasket can fail long before the tank does. The default package here is PVC fitting plus EPDM gasket - watch the three exceptions in the list above: hydrofluosilicic acid needs a Viton gasket, DEF needs 316 stainless fittings, and propylene glycol needs PP or 316 stainless (acetic acid and urea also run PP/PVC rather than plain PVC). Confirm your resin assumption too: this is crosslinked (XLPE), which is not field-weldable or repairable the way some HDPE vessels are, so design your plumbing as bolt-on and serviced through the 15-inch manway access.
