Sizing is where cone bottom tanks get people. At 3,600 gallons of water (SG 1.0) the contents alone weigh about 30,024 lb, and at the tank's full 1.5 SG rating the maximum rated contents weight is roughly 45,036 lb. That load rides on a cone, so the tank must sit in a matching steel or poly stand engineered for this diameter and weight, not on a flat pad. When you size the stand and foundation, add the tank's own dry weight (on the spec and technical drawing) to the contents weight — the structure has to carry both. The 1.5 SG rating is the hard line: it is the heaviest fluid this shell is built to carry, and exceeding it is the most common and most expensive mistake on a cone tank. At that rating it is a good match for a range of chemicals when paired with the correct fitting and gasket materials, per the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is always concentration- and temperature-specific. Note that DEF and acetic acid drive the fitting choice here — DEF requires 316 stainless wetted parts, not PVC.

Some fluids people try to put in a 3,600-gallon cone tank need a heavier 1.9 SG shell, not this 1.5 SG tank. If you are storing Ethylene Glycol, Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulfate, Hydrofluosilicic Acid (Viton gaskets), Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol (PP or 316SS fittings), or Sodium Thiosulfate, step up to a 1.9 SG tank rather than running them in this one.
