What the stand buys you
A feed station tank is a day tank: it holds a working volume of one chemical close to the point of use so the bulk supply stays in the yard and the pump draws from a small, visible, easy to refill vessel. The stand is the difference between this part number and the plain tank. Check the liquid itself in our chemical compatibility guide before you order; the entries feed tank buyers ask about most are ferric chloride, aluminum sulfate, polyaluminum chloride, potassium hydroxide and hydrofluosilicic acid. Keep the contents below 120 F; that is the wall's limit, not a target. Label the tank for what it holds the day it is set, and keep one tank to one chemical for its working life. What to check before you buy
- The opening. A 6 inch lid on top. That is a fill and inspection port, not a manway; if you need to drop a suction lance, a level float and a fill line through the same opening, plan the fittings first.
- The outlet. Not stated on this listing. Tell us the pump connection you need and we will confirm what the tank ships with before it leaves the plant.
- The floor. A stand carries the whole load on its feet, so it wants a flat, level, continuous surface and, where the chemical calls for it, a containment curb sized for the 47 by 36 inch base. Level it on both diagonals before the first fill.
