The Snyder Industries 3650 Gallon Vertical Storage Tank is a black, crosslinked linear polyethylene (XLPE) vertical storage tank built for heavy-duty water and high-density liquid storage. It stands 126 inches tall on a 102 x 102 inch footprint, holding 3,650 gallons in a single vertical column. As an ASTM XLPE tank rated to 1.9 specific gravity, it carries far more structural density headroom than a standard water-only tank, which matters if your stored liquid is heavier than plain water.

Will it work for your site?

Full of water, this tank carries about 30,441 pounds of contents; at its maximum 1.9 specific-gravity rating it can hold up to roughly 57,838 pounds. Those numbers drive your pad and foundation, not the empty tank weight, so size the base to the loaded figure. For above-ground installs, the pad has to be flat, level, and rated for that load across the full 102 x 102 inch footprint. Note that the 1.9 rating is a structural density limit, not a chemical-compatibility statement; verify chemical suitability separately for anything other than water. If you are working out reservoir volume or pad requirements, run the numbers with our Tank Sizing Calculator, review the Tank Sizing Guide, and for pad design see our guide on concrete pad sizing for above-ground polyethylene tanks.

Fittings and access

This unit is configured with a flange, an 18-inch PE threaded and vented fitting, and a manway with 15-inch access for interior inspection and cleaning. The 18-inch PE threaded/vented fitting doubles as a fill and vent path, so the tank breathes during rapid fill or draw-down and does not pull a vacuum. It also carries 12 x 13.75 inch and S.U.M.O. flat fittings for outlet and bulkhead connections. Those flat fittings are bulkhead-style, so match both the fitting size and the gasket or o-ring to your outlet hardware, since that seal is the usual leak point on a poly bulkhead. Confirm the exact fitting locations and sizes against the technical drawing on this page before you plumb the site.

XLPE vs HDPE

The crosslinked wall is what separates this tank from a standard HDPE vertical. Crosslinking raises impact and stress-crack resistance and supports that 1.9 specific-gravity rating, which is why XLPE is the right call for denser liquids and demanding storage duty. Our breakdown of Snyder XLPE vs HDPE covers when crosslinking earns its keep. For rural fire-water reservoir planning, see our fire-water reservoir design guide.

This tank ships LTL freight from the Snyder plant in Marked Tree, Arkansas, and freight is quoted live to your ZIP. At 126 inches tall on a 102 x 102 footprint it moves as an oversized vertical load, so confirm your site has forklift or crane offload before the truck rolls. Get a freight number with our Freight Cost Estimator or call 866-418-1777 to lock in delivery. We will confirm access and offload requirements before dispatch.
