A volume tank for light duty

This is the tank for rinse and process water at a manufacturing plant, wash water at a truck or equipment wash, a light dosing solution at a small water or wastewater system, and soap and surfactant at a food or beverage plant. The 1.5 rating covers all of that with margin, and the heavy duty version of this shell, which we also list, is money spent on nothing for a liquid near water weight. At 126 inches to the top of the shell it fits under most process roofs with room for the manway lid, a fill line and a vent. What does not change with the grade is the ground: full, the tank puts over 30,441 lb on a 102 inch circle, and a moulded floor bears on the whole base rather than a ring, so the slab is engineered, level and in full contact per the concrete pad sizing guide. Strap the shell while it is empty, because a light tank standing 126 inches is what a gust finds first, and leave a walking gap so the base can be looked at. Openings and what to check before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 126 inches up. With a single opening, every fill and every draw passes air through it, so size the vent path to the pumps on both ends and keep a screen on it. Fill through a dip tube to the floor.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the liquid, the pipe size and where the connection goes and we will confirm what comes installed and what you add. The height of the outlet decides how much of the 3,650 gallons ever comes out: set it low, mount the pump below it, and fit a low-level cutout.
3. Rating. 1.5 specific gravity and 140 F. Heavier or hotter liquids need the heavy duty version of this shell or a different tank; ask us.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's Marked Tree, AR plant, 102 x 102 x 126 inches and 780 lb, a one-piece load that does not need special equipment at either end. Take the shipping straps off before the forks go near the shell, lift with straps under the body or long forks under the base, never a hook in the manway, and strap it to its anchors the same day it lands.
