Snyder Industries 4000 Gallon ASTM Black Vertical Storage Tank

What this tank is for

This is bulk storage for a site that needs volume without height. At 100 inches tall the manway sits low enough to fill from a truck hose or a short platform, and the tank fits under many shed and barn eaves that a taller 4000 gallon tank would hit. Typical loads are stored water for livestock, irrigation, wash down or a rural home, rainwater, and liquid fertilizer held between applications. If the liquid is heavier than 1.5 times water, this is the wrong wall: Snyder makes a black heavy duty version rated 1.9, part 7421100N51. The footprint is the real planning item. Before you buy: openings and fittings

1. The manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. Fill, inspect and vent through it, and keep the vent clear so the tank breathes as it fills and drains.
2. The outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Give us the pipe size and how you draw from the tank, gravity or pump, and we will confirm with Snyder what comes on it.
3. The rating. 1.5 specific gravity and 120 F. Both limits apply together; a dense liquid stored warm is the case to ask about.
4. The drawing. Snyder's drawing for 7421100N49 is under Technical Drawing on this page. Use it to place pipe runs and plan the pad.

Other versions and nearby sizes

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 400 from Snyder's Chowchilla, California plant, 120 by 120 by 100 inches at 810 lb. At 120 inches across it is an oversize load on most trailers, so tell us how the truck reaches the set position and what you will unload with. Lift with straps under the base, not by the manway. Set it on the finished pad, fill it with water, and look at the base and the manway seal over a day before you put anything else in it. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 7421100N49 and walk round the shell for scuffs or dents.
