Heavy liquid under a low roof

A dense-liquid rating in a tank only 100 inches tall is unusual, and it is the whole argument for this part number. It goes under a low roof, inside a shallow containment curb and beneath overhead crane rails, and it carries coagulants, brines, pickling and plating solutions and scrubber liquor that a standard wall is not built for. If your liquid is at or near the weight of water, the 1.5 rated version of this same shell, which we also list, does the job for less. The trade for the low height is a 120 inch diameter. Full of water the tank puts over 34,194 lb on that circle, and more with a dense liquid, borne across the whole base by a rotationally moulded floor, so the slab is engineered, poured level and in full contact per the concrete pad sizing guide. Openings and what to check before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 100 inches up, reached from a short fixed ladder and a small platform. On a dense liquid the vent is also the vapor path: size it to the delivery pump, keep a screen on it, and fill through a dip tube to the floor.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the liquid, the pipe size and where the connection goes and we will confirm what Snyder installs and what you add. A short tank gives a pump little suction head, so mount it below the outlet and fit a low-level cutout; on a heavy liquid, carry the first valve on its own support.
3. Rating. 1.9 specific gravity and 140 F. Heavier or hotter liquids need a different tank; ask us.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's Marked Tree, AR plant, 120 x 120 x 100 inches and 930 lb. The width makes it a wide load on the truck; the 100 inch height is what lets it pass under a door or a canopy at your end. At 930 lb it is a light, low, stable lift: straps under the body, never a hook through the manway, and set it on the finished pad rather than beside it.
