The lightest, lowest 4,100

Two things sell this tank: weight and clearance. At 774 lb a forklift with long forks can handle it, and at 100 inches it passes under a door, a canopy or a low roof that stops most 4,100 gallon tanks at the threshold. The 1.5 wall is the standard grade and the right buy for makeup and process water, rinse water on a plating or food line, a nutrient or fertilizer solution at a co-op, and hypochlorite and other treatment chemicals near the weight of water; the heavy duty version of this shell, which we also list, is for denser liquids and weighs more. What the tank asks for in return is pad: a 120 inch circle carrying over 34,194 lb when full, borne across the whole base by a rotationally moulded floor, so the slab is engineered, poured level and in full contact per the concrete pad sizing guide. Openings and what to check before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 100 inches up. A short fixed ladder and a small platform put a person over the lid with both hands free. Keep it shut between deliveries, fill through a dip tube to the floor, and size the vent path to the delivery pump.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the liquid, the pipe size and where the connection goes and we will confirm what comes installed and what you add. Short tanks have short suction head: mount the pump below the outlet, keep the run short, and fit a low-level cutout.
3. Rating. 1.5 specific gravity and 140 F. Heavier or hotter liquids need the heavy duty version of this shell or a different tank; ask us.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 400 from Snyder's Marked Tree, AR plant, 120 x 120 x 100 inches and 774 lb. Class 400 is higher than the heavy duty version of the same shell carries, so the lighter tank is not automatically the cheaper one once freight is added; price the lane before you decide. Lift with straps under the body, never a hook through the manway, and set it on the finished pad. An empty 774 lb tank will move in a gust, so tie it down the hour it lands.
