Snyder's other 5,000s stand on a 102 inch base at nearly thirteen feet; this one trades a foot and a half of floor for three feet of headroom, which under an existing roof is usually the trade a plant wants. Outlet and manway under ten feet
- Outlet: 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; tell us the liquid when ordering and the fitting is matched to it, with a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 116 inches up, reached from a tall step or a short platform; fill through a dip tube to the floor, vent outside on anything that fumes, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Nearly ten feet of liquid above a 3 inch outlet is a flooded suction to the last few inches, and the outlet drains a full tank in a working shift; mount the pump below the outlet so it primes by gravity, and a low-level float shuts it off before it runs dry. Vapor loss is the manway's job to prevent, so it stays shut; the label names the one chemical; and the inspection is a light on the headspace wall, not the wetted one. The body takes a freeze from the top down without damage; the outlet valve and the first pipe run do not, so they get trace heat or insulation where it freezes.
