The 7000500N42 is the heavy-duty wall in the same mold, rated as its own sheet says, and worth the money only if your liquid needs it. The N46 and N48 are the black tanks, for a liquid that sunlight degrades, the N48 being the heavier of the two. If the ceiling is even lower than 116 inches, the 7000400N29 lays 4,500 gallons out to 143 inches across and 91 inches tall at 900 pounds, rated 1.35 on its sheet; if the floor is the problem instead, the 8210000N40 stands 4,650 gallons up at 154 inches on a 102 inch base.

Nine feet eight inches of reach to the lid

• Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway at 116 inches. A ladder on the wall reaches it, which is the quiet advantage of a low tank. Fill through a dip tube run to the floor, and vent outdoors and sized to the delivery pump on any liquid that fumes.
• Outlet: the sheet gives the outlet field as 1 Manway / Lid. No bottom fitting size, thread, material or gasket appears anywhere on it. Confirm the draw-off at order and name the liquid when you do.
• Structure: eight lifting lugs, ladder lugs, two flange lines on the sheet.
• Service limit: 140 F / 60 C.

A manway you can actually reach changes how a tank is operated. Levels get dipped, the headspace gets a light on it, the gasket gets looked at, and small problems get found while they are still small. The trade is that a reachable lid is a lid that gets opened casually; keep it shut between deliveries so vapor stays in and rain stays out, and let one person own the log. With no fitting on the sheet, the connection is a decision and not an assumption: a bottom draw-off confirmed at order, or a dip tube and a pump over the top sized for the lift out of 116 inches of tank. Either way the first valve gets its own support off the pad, the connection to hard pipe is flexible so thermal movement is not fed into the wall, and a low-level cutout stops the pump before it runs dry. The height is what sells it, so the buyer is usually someone working under a roof, in a chemical room, or inside a containment curb that will not take a taller vessel.
