Where it goes

Four and a half thousand gallons is a full tanker load with room left for what is still in the tank when the truck arrives, which is why this size shows up as the liquid fertilizer tank at a grower, the water reserve at a remote barn or packing shed, the day tank for a treatment chemical at a small utility, and the rinse or process water tank at a plant. The 102 inch shell rides an ordinary flatbed and fits a mid-size containment, and at just under twelve feet the manway is reached from a platform rather than a ladder. The ground carries the load: a rotationally moulded tank bears on its whole floor, so the circle takes all 37,530 lb of water and more at the rating. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. Three inches fills a sprayer or a nurse trailer fast and keeps a transfer pump flooded. Use a flexible connector to hard pipe and carry the first valve on a support off the pad.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, for the fill hose, a float and a brush. Keep the vent clear; the pump draws air through it.
3. Liquid and temperature. Polyethylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals to 120 F. Check anything aggressive with us before the order. Heavier than 1.5 times water needs a heavy duty wall, not this tank.
