Where it goes

Floor space is what this tank is for: a chemical pad that is a strip between a building and a road, a bay between two tanks already installed, a mill or mine site where the piping is fixed and the only room left is vertical. On top of that the liquid is dense, so the wall is rated for it. What you accept in exchange is height and a stability problem. At 234 inches this is the tallest shell in the range, and the ratio of that height to a 102 inch circle means the restraint is engineered before the pad is poured, not added afterwards: bands or cables to structure high on the shell, anchors set in the slab, a check after the first storm and again at the end of the first summer. The pad carries a heavier load per square foot than the wide tanks do, because a rotationally moulded floor bears on its whole floor; engineer it to our concrete pad sizing guide, dead level and in full contact, inside containment where the liquid is regulated. What to check before you buy

1. The resin. Whether crosslinked polyethylene is right for the liquid is answered in when crosslinking matters for chemistry duty; the liquid itself is in our chemical compatibility guide.
2. The outlet. The product data for 7440000N48 names the manway and no base fitting. Name the liquid, the flow and the pipe material at order and we confirm what the tank is supplied with before anything is cut. A column 234 inches tall puts more static pressure on the base fitting than any low tank in the range, so the first valve gets its own support and the connector to hard pipe is flexible, never rigid.
3. Pump placement. A dense liquid standing 234 inches above the outlet is the strongest flooded suction in this size range; keep it with the pump below the outlet and a short straight run, and wire a low level cutout.
4. The manway and vent. Fill down a dip tube to the floor, run the vent outdoors on anything that fumes, sized to the delivery pump, and keep the manway threaded shut between deliveries. Temperature limit: 140 F.

A crane stands it up with straps under the body, never a sling through the manway, onto the cured pad, and this is not a shape that stands unstrapped for a week, so the bands go on before the crane leaves. Check 7440000N48 on the bill of lading, fill with water to the manway and hold it while someone walks the base and the pad edge before a dense liquid arrives.
