The duty: dense liquid under a lower roof

This is the 1.9 wall. The 7370000N46 beside it is the lighter rating in the identical shell, rated as its own sheet says, and it is the one to buy when the liquid does not need the wall. Step outside the family and the trade is geometry: the 5300600N40 gives 8,000 gallons but wants 186 inches of height, and the 5300700C26 puts 7,650 gallons into a 142 inch circle only 122 inches tall for a room with no headroom and plenty of floor.

Prime it low, stop it before it sucks air

• Suction: the outlet field on this sheet is 1 Manway / Lid, with no bottom fitting size given, so the draw-off is engineered to the duty at order. Specify the liquid, the flow and the pipe material, take a flexible connector between the bulkhead and the hard pipe, and support the first valve on the pad.
• Prime: a dense liquid punishes a badly placed pump. Set it below the outlet elevation and keep the suction run short, and the 177 inch column keeps it flooded through most of the drawdown without a foot valve.
• Low level: on a 1.9 duty the low-level cutout protects the pump seal, not just the impeller. Wire it to stop the pump, not merely to alarm.
• Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway on top, with ladder lugs molded into the shell for a fixed ladder and a rail. Fill down a dip tube, and run the vent outdoors, sized to the truck's pump, on anything that fumes.
• Service limit: 140 F / 60 C.

Two flange lines are molded in, which is where side piping belongs if the floor is congested, and every penetration in a wall rated for 125,183 pounds of contents is a shop job with the right cutter and the right gasket, not a hole saw and hope. The discipline after commissioning is short and boring: manway closed between deliveries, one liquid named in paint on the wall, the headspace band checked with a light at every opening, and in a cold climate trace or insulation on the outlet valve and the first pipe run while the body is left to ice from the top down. Log every delivery with date and strength, because the log is what tells you whether the tank or the process changed when something eventually reads wrong.

Who buys a 7,900 with the heavy wall

Chemical feed rooms that already exist and cannot grow upward, plating and metal finishing lines with dense process solutions, wastewater plants adding a heavier coagulant, and ag chemical blenders storing concentrate inside a low building. On the deck it is 120 inches across and 177 inches long, a permitted load out of the middle of the country, which is usually good news for a lane east or west; price yours through the freight cost estimator and read the listed price as before freight. Unloading is slings under the body and a crane or a big loader, never a strap through the manway, and at 2,700 pounds it is worth confirming the equipment on site before the truck is dispatched rather than after. Water goes in first: fill to the manway, hold it, walk the base and the fittings, then drain and dry before the duty liquid arrives.
