The Snyder Industries 7500 Gallon ASTM XLPE Black Vertical Storage Tank is a heavy-duty vertical storage tank molded from crosslinked linear polyethylene (XLPE) in black and rated to a 1.5 specific gravity. Standing 234 inches tall on a compact 102 x 102 inch footprint, it holds 7,500 gallons, making it one of the larger single-vessel options for bulk water, fire-reserve, and rural site storage where you need maximum volume on a tight square pad.

Will it work for your site

Filled with water this tank carries roughly 62,550 lb, while its 1.5 SG rating allows a maximum rated contents weight near 93,825 lb. That is about 31,275 lb of headroom above plain water, so the crosslinked wall can hold denser fluids up to 1.5 specific gravity in the same vessel with no separate variant needed. Because the loaded weight is substantial, the foundation matters: this tank wants a level, engineered pad, and our concrete pad sizing guide walks through the ACI 360R-10 framework for above-ground poly tanks. One clearance point buyers of a tall, compact tank most often miss: 234 inches is 19.5 feet, well past standard door and overhead clearance, so review vertical siting and craning access before you commit. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide to confirm 7,500 gallons matches your draw and refill cycle, and remember the 7,500-gallon figure is nominal — ASTM D1998 freeboard reduces the volume you can actually draw, as our freeboard sizing guide explains.

Fittings and access

Per the technical drawing on this page, the tank is configured with a flange, an 18-inch PE threaded and vented fitting, a manway with a 15-inch access opening, a 12 x 23-inch fitting, and a flat fitting provision. The flange and the manway are field-sealed interfaces, so spec a compatible gasket and correct bolt torque for both at install. Keep the 18-inch PE threaded and vented fitting unobstructed so the tank breathes properly during fill and draw, and use the 15-inch manway access for interior inspection and cleaning. Confirm the function and placement of the 12 x 23-inch fitting and the flat provision against the drawing before you set piping.

Fire-water and reuse applications

A 7,500-gallon vertical tank is a common backbone for private fire-protection reservoirs and banked water-reuse trains. If you are sizing a rural fire reserve, our fire-water reservoir design guide covers NFPA 22 sizing and freeze protection; for grey-water, rainwater, and HVAC condensate aggregation, see our water reuse tank topology guide.

This tank ships LTL from the single Snyder plant in Lincoln, NE, freight quoted live to your ZIP. Transit distance from Nebraska drives the rate on an oversize vessel like this, so pull a number early with our Freight Cost Estimator or call 866-418-1777 to place your order and coordinate offloading for a tank this size.
