Dense liquids at bulk volume
A 1.9 wall is for the loads that are heavier than water by a wide margin: concentrated fertilizer solutions, brines, and the heavier treatment and process chemicals that polyethylene handles. - The chemistry. Look the liquid up in our chemical compatibility guide, and keep it at or below 120 F. Ask us about anything not listed.
- The outlet. No bottom fitting is listed for this tank, only the manway. Tell us the liquid and the pipe size and we will confirm the fitting and its material before anything is drilled. With a dense liquid the base fitting carries the most load on the tank, so use a flexible connector and support the valve separately.
- The fill. The 18 inch threaded vented manway takes the fill line. Pipe the fill down inside the tank toward the floor so dense liquid does not drop the full height and foam or splash.
