2000 Gallon Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

Built for headroom you do not have

Eighty inches is six feet eight. That puts the top of this tank under a standard barn door header, a lean-to roof or a container ceiling, with the manway still reachable from the ground for filling and cleaning. The cost of that low profile is the footprint: the 93 inch base needs nearly eight feet of clear, level floor each way, so measure the space and the door before the shell, not after. Openings, fittings and the pad

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall. Your valve threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of pipe independently.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway. Wide enough for a fill hose, a float and a brush. Leave the vent open.
3. The pad. The whole 93 inch circle needs continuous, level contact: slab, steel plate, or a compacted and screeded bed with a retained edge. Give it a slight fall away so the tank never stands in its own overflow, and leave room to reach the outlet with two hands and a wrench.
4. The liquid. Up to 1.5 specific gravity and 120 F. Heavier liquids need the 1.9 rated heavy duty tanks below. Check anything other than water with us before you order.

A shell nearly eight feet across needs an approach and a set-down spot the truck can use, so tell us if the gate or the yard is tight. At the tailgate, check the part number 41513 on the bill of lading, inspect the shell before the driver leaves, set it with the outlet toward the pipe run, and fill it with water the first time.
