The mistake to avoid

The classic error with a dense-fluid tote is matching the gasket to convenience instead of the chemistry. EPDM is fine for most salts and glycols here, but it will fail in hydrochloric, phosphoric, sulfuric, hydrogen peroxide, hypochlorite, and ozonated water, all of which call for Viton (and Aflas on peracetic acid).
