Who buys the ASTM version
ASTM tanks are what engineers and municipal buyers tend to specify, because a project spec usually names the standard the tank has to be built to and a plain catalog tank does not satisfy the submittal. Our listing names ASTM without the standard number. If your spec calls out ASTM D1998, the standard for polyethylene upright storage tanks, tell us and we will get Snyder's written confirmation for your submittal. The 1.5 rating covers water, most liquid fertilizers and many water treatment chemicals. Full of water this tank holds 37,530 lb (4500 x 8.34); at the full 1.5 rating, 56,295 lb (4500 x 1.5 x 8.34). - Outlet and fittings. None listed. Give us the outlet size, the fitting and gasket material your liquid needs, and where on the wall it goes, along with any fill, vent or level connections.
- Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 142 inches up. Plan a ladder or platform for access.
