Pick this shape when height is the problem: a fertilizer shed with a low eave, a chemical room under a mezzanine, a covered trailer, or a site where the fill connection has to be reachable without a ladder. The price of the low height is the footprint, 87 inches across, and the pad under it has to be flat, level and continuous across that whole circle; a tank bottom that bridges a gap or sits on a crown is the usual cause of a failure at the base. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. Your valve threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware, and put a flexible connector between tank and pipe: a full tank settles and grows a little, and rigid pipe fights it.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. On a 67 inch tank it is at chest height for most people, which is the practical advantage of this shape: filling, dipping and inspection happen from the floor.
