Why a cone, and why 30 degrees

A flat bottom tank always holds a little back; a cone sends everything to the outlet. The 30 degree cone is the middle of Norwesco's range: steep enough to drain thin liquids and most suspensions cleanly without the height penalty of a steeper cone. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. 2 inch, at the bottom of the cone. Norwesco's listing gives the size and not the fitting type, so if the connection matters, call before you order and we will confirm it. Fit the valve before the first fill, and support the valve and the first length of pipe so the cone carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Lid. A 16 inch lid on top: room to fill, to drop a mixer shaft or a suction line in, and to get a hand and a brush inside.
