Norwesco 300 Gallon Plastic Portable Loaf Utility Tank in White

In a pickup, on a trailer or on the ground

At 63 by 42 inches the tank sits between the wheel wells of a full-size pickup or across a utility trailer, and at 30 inches tall it rides below the cab roof and most bed rails. Full of water the contents weigh 2502 lb, which is most of a half-ton pickup's payload, so the vehicle's rating, not the tank, is usually the limit. Strap it through the moulded recesses, never over the lid, and run the straps to the bed tie-downs on both sides. On the ground it needs a flat, continuous surface under the whole base; the loaf shape spreads its load wide. What goes in it

Water first: stock water, dust control, construction water, a fire reserve at a remote site, and rainwater. Openings and fittings

1. Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top. Wide enough to fill from a hose, drop a float in, and get a hand and a brush inside. The vent lets air in as the tank drains; keep it clear.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed for this tank, so the drain connection is fitted to suit your valve or pump. Tell us the size you want and we will put the bulkhead fitting on the same order. A bulkhead fitting needs a flat area of wall at least as wide as its flange; dry-fit it, point the thread where the hose will run, then tighten by hand plus a quarter turn.
