A 925 gallon white leg tank with a sump bottom that drains all the way
The Norwesco 925 gallon horizontal leg tank with sump bottom in white, part number 45210, is a polyethylene leg tank with one difference from the standard 925: a moulded sump at the low point so the outlet draws the last gallons instead of leaving a heel in the bottom of the shell. The tank is 62 inches in diameter, 80 inches long and 69 inches tall on its moulded legs, and weighs 280 lb empty. It comes with a 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting as the outlet and a 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. The tank is rated for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity, a maximum of 12.52 lb per gallon, which covers water, most liquid fertilizers and many common chemicals; 925 gallons of water weighs about 7700 lb. The resin is FDA compliant per Norwesco, the service limit is 120 F (48 C), and Norwesco backs it with a 3 year warranty. Two bands are required for this tank, band part N-62852.

Why a sump bottom
A standard horizontal tank drains to the level of its outlet and no lower, which leaves a heel of liquid that either stays in the tank between loads or gets tipped out by hand. The sump collects that heel at one point under the outlet. Buy this tank when the liquid is expensive enough that the last gallons matter, when the next load must not be diluted by the last one, or when the tank is rinsed between products and you want the rinse water out as well. Fertilizer dealers, custom applicators and anyone switching between chemicals in one tank are the usual buyers. What goes in it
Liquid fertilizer, water and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride and magnesium chloride are the ones buyers of this tank ask about. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water need a heavier rated tank. Keep the contents under 120 F. Openings, fittings and bands
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed at the sump. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight in. Because the sump hangs below the shell, plan the valve and the first length of pipe to clear the deck or the ground, and support them so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float in and get a brush inside.
- Bands. Two bands are required, band part N-62852. Strap through the leg recesses, never over the manway. Order the bands with the tank.
