On a trailer, a truck or the ground
At 101 by 49 inches the tank runs the length of a single axle utility trailer or sits across a flatbed, and at 54 inches tall it rides below most cab roofs. Full, it weighs more than 6000 lb with water and close to 11500 lb with a dense fertilizer blend, so the vehicle's rating, not the tank, decides how full it travels. What goes in it
Liquid fertilizer is what the 1.9 rating is for: dense blends and salt solutions that would overload a standard 1.5 tank are within this one's rating. Water and the farm and treatment chemicals polyethylene handles are the other normal loads. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside. The vent lets air in as the tank drains, so the walls are not pulled in by a fast pump.
