No stand load, no stand material and no frame height appear on the sheet, so none is claimed here. What the stand is for is simple enough to describe without inventing anything: it raises the base of the tank, which puts liquid above a metering pump instead of below it, and it leaves the underside of the tank where a person can see it. The wall is rated at a specific gravity of 1.9, giving 1,001 pounds for 120 gallons of water at 8.34 pounds per gallon and 1,902 pounds of maximum contents. Standing over the pump on a bunded floor

The floor under this station has more to do than hold a tank up. It carries a 56 by 43 inch base at 67 inches of height, which is a taller load on the same footprint, and it has to be flat, continuous and level under the whole stand: a finished chemical room floor, a coated slab, a poured pad, or the deck of a bund sized for the contents of the largest vessel in it. Never two rails with the middle unsupported, never packed up at one corner to take a slope out of the floor, and never a temporary position "until the pad is poured". Level the floor, set the station, then plumb it. Above that base is 1,001 pounds of water at full and 1,902 pounds at the rating on this sheet, standing higher than a floor tank would put it, which is exactly why the base has to be right. Then use the height you have paid for. Set the metering pump below the tank's discharge on its own base so it runs on a flooded suction through the whole batch rather than lifting from a tank sitting on the floor; leave enough clear space under the tank that a torch and a pair of eyes can get all the way round it, because the first sign of trouble on a chemical station is a stain under the base and not a puddle at the door; and keep the drain path to a carboy or a sump short and falling. The comparison that decides this purchase is the first and third rows, and it is a height decision rather than a capacity one. Both hold 120 gallons on the same 56 by 43 inch plan. This one is listed at 67 inches and 166 pounds; SII-5700103CF42 is listed at 51 inches and 130 pounds. Everything you are buying is in that gap: the pump can sit under the discharge, the drain can reach a container, and the underside of the tank is visible. Everything you are giving up is in the same gap: a higher fill point, a taller crate, a higher centre of mass on the same footprint, and more weight to place. Buy this one when the dosing pump is fixed at floor level and must not lift. Buy the floor tank when the ceiling, a duct or a mezzanine limits the height, or when the fill has to be done by hand from a drum. Working height first: what 67 inches gives the suction

  • The discharge and the valve: this sheet publishes no outlet fitting, so no size, no valve type and no bulkhead assembly is named here. Tell us the chemical and the pump when you order and the discharge arrangement is confirmed with the maker in writing before the station ships.
  • What the height does for the pump: with the tank standing at 67 inches, the metering or transfer pump goes below the discharge on its own base, with a short falling run into the suction, so the column above keeps it flooded to the end of the batch. That is the entire argument for buying the version with the stand, and it is worth laying the pump out on paper before the station arrives.
  • Isolation and protection: valve at the tank, flexible connector at the first joint, cleanable strainer before the pump, and a low level float or probe that stops the pump with liquid still above the fitting.
  • Filling: the lid is 14 inches, now at 67 inches off the floor. Bring the delivery to a coupling at working level rather than passing a hose up to the lid, and if the lid has to be opened routinely, plan a step or a small platform with a hand rail into the layout instead of improvising one later.
  • Venting: the vent path stays clear at all times. A drawing pump under a closed lid pulls on the wall, and the taller the standing liquid the more inviting it is to leave the lid shut.

Because this station stands taller than its floor-standing twin on the same base, the layout on top deserves the same attention as the plumbing below. Fill point, vent, level device and any return line should be placed as one drawing rather than one at a time. Stations of this size feed the small, relentless duties: hypochlorite, caustic, acid or polymer dosing at water and wastewater plants; a day tank beside a process line in food, paper or metal finishing; cooling water treatment on a chiller plant; detergent at a vehicle wash or a commercial laundry; a dosing point at a mine or a generating station. It crates at 56 by 43 by 67 inches at 166 pounds, so it is the taller crate of the pair: measure the door height, the aisle and any low header on the route into the plant room before the truck is booked.
