A dense liquid in a room with height and no floor

A brine or concentrate at a small plant, a dense process solution on a dosing skid, a fertilizer or feed solution at a co-op that has to stay out of the light, a makeup tank squeezed in beside equipment that is not moving: those are the jobs for a liquid heavier than water in a shell 109 inches tall on a 60 inch circle. It slides into a corner or between two vessels already standing, and it wants a roof line well clear of 109 inches so a fill line and a vent have somewhere to go above the manway.

This is the plain polyethylene wall, not the crosslinked one, with a 120 F service limit; a hot liquid or an aggressive chemical belongs in the crosslinked version of this shell, so settle the wall with us before the order. What to check before you buy

1. The pad. A rotomoulded floor bears on its whole floor, so 10,008 lb of water, or 19,015 lb at the rating, lands on a 60 inch circle. Pour it to our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, inside a berm sized to the tank where the liquid is regulated.
2. Restraint. 310 lb of empty shell 109 inches tall is what a gust moves, so bands to structure or anchors in the slab go on the day it lands; check them after the first storm and at the end of the first summer.
3. The outlet. The 18 inch threaded vented manway is the only opening carried on this page. Name the liquid and the draw-off you want and we will confirm the fitting, its size, material and gasket before anything is drilled. Snyder's drawing is linked under Technical Drawing.
4. Fill and vent. A dip tube to the floor so the stream does not free-fall and foam; the vent piped outdoors on anything that fumes and sized to the delivery pump; a fixed platform with a rail for the manway.
5. The level. You cannot read a black wall, so a sender and a local gauge belong in the install, not in a later budget.

Every run leaving the base sits on its own support with a flexible connector to hard pipe. Set the pump below the outlet so gravity keeps it primed and fit a low-level float.

The same shell in other walls, and the sizes either side

The crosslinked walls in this shell are the 1,200 gallon black XLPE tank for liquids near water, the 1,200 gallon heavy duty XLPE tank for dense liquids in natural white, and the 1,200 gallon XLPE tank. If the ceiling is the problem, the 1,100 gallon heavy duty vertical tank is wide and low and the 1,300 gallon XLPE vertical tank holds more in a wider, shorter shell. Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's Chowchilla, CA plant, 60 by 60 by 109 inches at 310 lb. Price the lane to your ZIP with the freight cost estimator. Unload with straps under the body, never a sling through the manway, onto the cured pad. Check the part number against 1830200N51 on the bill of lading, then fill with water to the manway, hold it, walk the base twice, and dry the tank before the working liquid arrives.
