Full of water, the 5370000N49 puts 125,100 pounds on a 142 inch circle, and a rotationally molded floor bears on the whole pad, so the pad is what matters: an engineered slab in full contact under the entire floor, screeded flat, with no pipe trench or drain crossing under it; the tank stand and pad engineering guide covers why a flat-bottom polyethylene tank of any size goes on a pad, never a cradle. The empty tank is strapped against wind, because 234 inches of empty polyethylene is a sail, and the straps go slack once it is full. Snyder's 12,500 to 16,500 gallon verticals

The 5370000C34 is the general-grade tank in this same shell. The 3030100 tanks hold the same 15,000 gallons on a 165 inch base 50 inches shorter, for a site with a bigger pad and a lower ceiling. The 5350000C34 is the 12,500 gallon step down on this base, 36 inches shorter, and the 5380000C126 is the 16,500 gallon step up at 257 inches.

What is fitted

• Outlet: the bulkhead fitting is chosen for the liquid at order time; an expansion joint and a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, with the valve carried on the slab. For a fire reserve a large outlet is specified at order.
• Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 234 inches up, reached from a fixed platform with a rail.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
• Listing: ASTM certification.

Filling, emptying and a hot afternoon all move a lot of air through a tank this size, so the vent is sized to the pump-out and fill rates rather than left at the manway default, and screened. Read the level from the ground with a sender; nobody should climb for a number. In a freezing climate insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first run of pipe; the body itself takes days to freeze at this volume, top down.

Applications

Community and municipal water storage where the certification has to be on file, a fire reserve where 15,000 gallons is a real one, irrigation storage on a large property, and brine, fertilizer solution or coagulant as delivered at the 1.5 rating. One liquid per tank, labeled.

A crane sets 4,400 pounds upright on the slab. Fill it to the manway once, hold it, check the outlet fitting, and keep the certification paperwork with the project file. Mark the vent and the outlet on the outside of the shell so nobody caps the wrong one in the dark.
