A 1.9 wall on a 142 inch footprint carrying 15000 gallons is bought by plants that have chemistry and no room: a minerals operation holding a heavy reagent beside a process building, a chemical plant with a dense intermediate between unit operations, a large water utility taking coagulant by the tanker into a congested chemical yard, a fertilizer terminal holding a dense solution through a season. Water sits far inside the rating and does not need this wall; the 1.5 rated version of this same shell is the right buy for water or a light process liquid. At this rating the ground is the real engineering. A rotationally moulded floor bears on the whole pad and nothing else, so 125,100 lb of water, and up to 1.9 times that with a dense liquid, goes down through a 142 inch circle. The slab is engineered, level, cured and in full contact to our concrete pad sizing guide, inside a berm sized to the tank wherever the liquid is regulated. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch threaded vented manway, 234 inches up: permanent access or no access. A caged fixed ladder or a platform off adjacent structure, a rail and gate at the opening, and a hard-piped fill landed at the manway. Fill through a dip tube to the floor; size the vent to the fill pump.
2. Outlet. This listing carries no outlet size. Tell us the liquid and the pipe you are tying into when you order and we confirm what Snyder fits to this shell before it ships. The drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.
3. Base plumbing. A dense liquid in a tall tank is the hardest hydraulic duty polyethylene is asked to do. Carry the first valve on its own support off the pad, use a flexible connector to hard pipe, set the pump below the outlet and fit a low-level float.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's plant in Lincoln, NE, at its own 142 by 142 by 234 inch dimensions, an oversize load; the estimator will tell you whether your lane needs a phone call. Sequence it properly: pad cured and signed off, anchorage cast in, and a crane with the reach to stand 5,800 lb upright in one pick, straps around the body and never through the manway. Check the part number 5370000N42 against the bill of lading before you sign. Commission with water to the manway, hold it, walk the pad edge and the base for movement or a weep, then drain before the process liquid is ordered.
