The Snyder WV50 is a white polyethylene water tank that holds 2,000 gallons in a shell 90 inches across and 88 inches tall, weighing 357 pounds. It is the eight-tote water tank for a barn, a well house or a yard under an eave, with a 2 inch outlet, an 18 inch lid, and a rating of 1.0 specific gravity for water and liquids no heavier. The white wall shows the level in daylight, which the dark tanks cannot, and the price of that is that a white tank in full sun wants a screen or shade to keep algae out of stored water.

Eight tons of water on a seven and a half foot circle
Full, the WV50 puts 16,680 pounds on a 90 inch circle, and a rotationally molded floor bears on the whole pad, so the pad is what matters: a compacted, screeded gravel base or a slab in full contact, with the empty tank strapped against wind. The low shape stands under a standard eave and keeps the lid within reach of a step, and 88 inches of water above a 2 inch outlet gives a pressure pump a flooded suction to the last few inches. The ports list
- Outlet: 2 inch, at the base; flex between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and a valve braced off the pad so the fitting carries no pipe weight. For a fire reserve a larger outlet is specified at order.
- Access: 18 inch lid, 88 inches up, reached from a step; keep a screen on the vent.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
A 2 inch outlet feeds a pressure pump or a fire pump's suction without starving it. The white wall shows the level in daylight; a low-level switch protects the pump. In a freezing climate insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first run of pipe; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
Applications
