What comes on the tank
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 88 inches up; vent outside on acid and caustic service, fill through a dip tube, and size the vent for the delivery pump.
- Outlet: tell us the chemical when ordering and the bulkhead fitting is matched to it; a flanged transition and a valve supported off the pad, in the material the chemical calls for.

Choose the level sender for the chemical and read it at ground level; the manway stays shut so vapor stays in the tank, and a chemical that sunlight degrades gets a shade or a roof. A single wall tank of a regulated liquid lives inside a berm that holds the whole tank. Label it so the fire inspector and the workplace inspector read the same thing. Taking delivery
A delivery truck's pump can push air out faster than a stock vent can pass it, so the vent is sized for the unload rate or the fill goes through a dedicated top bulkhead with its own vent line. The fill pipe runs to the floor so caustic or coagulant does not free-fall and foam. Never add water to the chemical; add the chemical to the water, because the dilution heat is real. Somebody stands at the tank for the whole of the first delivery, watching the slab edge and the outlet fitting as the level rises, and every delivery after that goes in the log with a date and a strength.
