Tall tank, firm pad, straps
Full, the WG60 puts 20,850 pounds on a 90 inch circle, and a tall tank magnifies any tilt in the base; the pad is a slab or a compacted base in full contact, sized by the method in the concrete pad sizing guide, and level. Empty, 415 pounds standing nearly nine feet tall is a sail, so strap it before the first fill. The 18 inch manway is 106 inches up; plan the step or the ladder. The WG61 is the same tank at 5 pounds less; compare the fittings on each page. The 32565 is the opposite idea, 22 inches shorter on a base 12 inches wider, for the low room. The black 32559 is the middle shape at 96 by 90 inches with a lighter wall, and the 32553 gives up 500 gallons on that base at 73 inches. Bulkheads and lid

With 106 inches of head over the outlet, the WG60 gravity-feeds a trough line or a drip system harder than the low tanks do. An 18 inch manway takes a float valve and a level sender; a sight tube off the outlet reads the level through the green wall.
Strapping and filling a tall tank
Two straps over the top to anchors set in the slab, or a ring of ratchet straps to posts, hold an empty tall tank against a gust; leave them on after the first fill, because the tank will be empty again. Fill through the inlet or the manway with the outlet valve closed and a screen on the inlet so leaves and insects stay out. In a freezing climate the body of the tank handles ice from the top down without harm; the outlet valve and the first run of pipe do not, so insulate or drain them, and keep the vent clear so the wall never sees a vacuum on a fast draw.
