The mistake to avoid

The costly error on a high-SG tank like this is matching the gasket to the fitting instead of to the chemical. Cut the list two ways. Viton gaskets are required for Hydrochloric, Hydrofluoric, Hydrofluosilicic, Hydrogen Peroxide, Phosphoric, Sulfuric, and Sodium Hypochlorite, and Aflas for Peracetic Acid. EPDM is acceptable for everything else listed, the salts, glycols, DEF and urea, carbonates and the rest, but EPDM will fail fast in those oxidizers and strong acids.
