Where a short tank solves the problem

Many vertical tanks this size are taller than they are wide. This one is not: 102 inches across and 97 inches tall, which makes it the pick for a site with a height limit: inside a pump house or shop, under a deck or carport, beside a home where a tall tank would block a view or a window, or anywhere you want to fill and inspect without a tall ladder. Common uses are a household or cabin supply on hauled or well water, livestock water, a garden and greenhouse supply, rainwater off a roof, and liquid fertilizer between applications. Before you buy: openings

1. The manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. Fill, clean and inspect through it, and keep the vent open as the tank fills and drains.
2. The outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed with this part number. Tell us the line size and whether you pump from it or feed by gravity, and we will confirm with Snyder what comes on the tank.
3. Gravity feed. A short tank gives little head pressure on its own. If the water has to reach a house or a trough uphill, plan a pump.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 400 from Snyder's Marked Tree, Arkansas plant, listed at 102 by 102 by 97 inches and 510 lb. At 102 inches wide, check gates and doorways on the way to the pad. Lift with straps under the base, never by the manway, and restrain the tank if it will stand empty in the wind. Fill it with water first and check the base and manway before you rely on it. At the tailgate, match the bill of lading to 8390000N49 and look over the shell.
