Where it goes, and why the wall is crosslinked

At 96 inches across and 111 inches tall this is a tank for a pad or a slab with an eight foot circle to spare and a little over nine feet of clear height, plus room above the manway for a fill line and a vent. Measure the doorway and the ceiling before you order if it is going indoors. Crosslinking ties the polymer chains of the wall together, which gives it more resistance to stress cracking and to many chemicals than a standard linear polyethylene wall, so this is the material to choose when the liquid is harder on plastic than water is. A rotationally moulded tank carries its load on the whole floor, so up to 37,530 lb bears on the full 96 inch circle. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. Polyethylene suits water, most liquid fertilizers and many common chemicals, and the crosslinked wall widens that list. The 1.5 rating covers liquids up to one and a half times the weight of water. If yours is heavier than that, or warmer than 140 F in service, tell us before you order; Snyder makes a heavier rated version of this shell.
2. The outlet. This page lists the manway, not a bottom fitting. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you want and we will confirm what this tank takes, in what size and material, before anything is drilled.
3. The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented, 111 inches off the pad. That is platform height, so plan a fixed platform with a rail or a tied-off platform ladder with the tank, and bring the fill line to the manway so nobody carries a hose up to it.

Fill it with water the first time, let it stand, and look at the pad edge and the base fitting before the working liquid goes in.
