3,000 gallons at 1.9 specific gravity, under an eight foot ceiling
The Snyder 7410000N43 is a low profile chemical tank: 3,000 gallons of white polyethylene, 102 inches across and 96 inches tall, 575 pounds empty, with Snyder's 1.9 specific gravity wall. That rating means 47,538 pounds of contents at full against 25,020 for water, which is the heaviest load any 3,000 gallon tank on this site is built for, and it does it at a height that clears a standard chemical room ceiling. A 3 inch outlet and an 18 inch manway make it a bulk tank that is filled by tanker and drawn by pump.

Dense liquid, low room
The 102 inch base does two jobs: it keeps the tank under 96 inches, and it spreads 47,538 pounds over a wider circle. The pad is the price, a level slab in full contact under the whole 102 inch floor, sized for the rated load. What the tank holds is set by two separate checks: the density of the liquid at the concentration you buy against the 1.9 rating, and the resin against the chemical in the chemical compatibility database. The list below is the resin's rated chemistry. The tank sizing calculator sizes the volume to feed rate and delivery interval, and the tank sizing guide covers the reserve to carry.
Low profile against tall
| Part | Gallons | Diameter x height | Empty weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7410000N43 (this tank, 1.9 SG) | 3,000 | 102 x 96 in | 575 lb |
| 5130000N43 (1.5 SG) | 3,000 | 90 x 127 in | 575 lb |
| 5130000N45 (1.5 SG) | 3,000 | 90 x 127 in | 710 lb |
| 8390000C26 | 2,650 | 102 x 97 in | 510 lb |
| 32288 | 3,500 | 96 x 125 in | 550 lb |
The 5130000 tanks put the same 3,000 gallons on a 90 inch base at 127 inches tall, 31 inches taller than this tank and 12 inches narrower, with a 1.5 rating; they are the choice for the tall room and the lighter liquid. The 8390000C26 is the low profile water tank on the same 102 inch base, 65 pounds lighter for 350 fewer gallons. The 32288 is a 3,500 gallon water tank on a 96 inch base.

Openings and instrumentation
- Outlet: 3 inch, at the bottom of the sidewall; flanged transition, expansion joint, valve supported off the slab.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, reachable from a short step on a 96 inch tank.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
A short tank makes the level sender's job easy; the level gauge selection guide sorts the sender types by what each chemical does to them. A wide tank wants a wide berm, and the Snyder Captor 110 percent containment comparison shows where a double wall tank is the smaller footprint once the berm is drawn.
Where you will find one
Caustic, ferric and alum bulk storage in a treatment plant's chemical room, acid and reagent storage on a process floor with a low ceiling, and any 3,000 gallon vessel where the liquid is heavy and the headroom is not. Vent the manway outside on caustic and acid service and keep the vent line clear of the pump's electrical gear.
Shipping the tank
At 102 inches across the 7410000N43 is oversize freight (NMFC 156600) on a flatbed at a lane rate; the freight cost estimator prices it for your ZIP, and the listed price is before freight. A forklift with long forks lifts 575 pounds onto the pad. Water-fill in stages with a hold, drain and dry before the chemical delivery, and check the outlet flange after the hold.
