Will it work for your application?

This is a stackable IBC tote tank, so the value is in the footprint and the stack: a single 45 by 45 inch base that nests vertically to recover warehouse floor space. The 1.9 SG rating is the number to watch. Many white HDPE totes top out around 1.5 SG; this one is built heavier, which is what lets it hold acids and dense salt brines at full weight without exceeding its design rating. Chemical compatibility

This tote is polyethylene rated to 1.9 specific gravity. The resin is recorded as HDLPE pending confirmation - confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before putting this tank into chemical service, because that distinction changes long-term chemical resistance. When the resin checks out, this SG-1.9 build handles a wide span of process chemistry. The single most common gasket mistake is defaulting everything to EPDM: the oxidizers and strong acids below need a fluoroelastomer or a special alloy instead. Run Viton gaskets on hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrofluosilicic acid, hydrogen peroxide, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid (with a CPVC fitting, not PVC), and sodium hypochlorite; run Aflas with 316SS on peracetic acid; and run 316SS fittings on DEF. Everything else runs PVC or PP with EPDM.

The mistake to avoid

The costly error on a heavy-fluid tote is matching the tank to volume and ignoring weight, resin, and gasket. Two totes can both say 275 gallons; only the 1.9 SG build legitimately carries 4,358 pounds of dense chemistry. Buy on volume alone and you can overload a lighter-rated tote; default every gasket to EPDM and an oxidizer like sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide will chew through it where Viton would hold; or trust a tote rating without confirming HDLPE versus XLPE for your specific chemical. Lock in the SG rating, the contents weight, the resin, and the gasket material before you fill.
