This version pairs a black wall with a 1.5 rating. Black keeps light out of the liquid, which stops algae in water and protects light-sensitive products, and that makes it the usual choice for a tank that stands outdoors in a yard or beside a building. The 1.5 rating covers water, most liquid fertilizers and many dilute treatment chemicals; anything heavier than one and a half times water needs a higher rated tank, so give us the specific gravity if you are not sure. The 120 F limit is the other number to respect, and a black tank in direct summer sun runs warm, so in a hot climate keep the product temperature in mind when you choose the colour. The pad, the height and the paperwork

What to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top of the inner tank, wide enough for a fill hose, a level sensor and inspection.
2. Outlet. Our page lists the manway, not a bottom fitting. Tell us the draw-off position and size and we will confirm with Snyder what the tank ships with.
3. Level. A black wall hides the liquid line. Plan a sight tube, a float gauge or a transmitter from the start.
