Heavy liquids where the ceiling stops at 126 inches

This is a dense-duty tank for a building with normal steel overhead: a plating or finishing line holding acid or caustic, a water plant with a heavy coagulant, an oilfield or mining supply yard with brine. At 126 inches to the top of the shell it fits under most process roofs with room for the manway lid, a fill line and a vent, and a 102 inch diameter is a pad most chemical rooms can give up. The 1.9 rating is the entire reason to pay for this part number. Openings and what to check before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 126 inches up. On a dense liquid the vent path is also the vapor path, which makes it a safety item: size it to the delivery pump so a fill cannot pressurize the shell and keep a screen on it. Fill through a dip tube to the floor.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the liquid, the pipe size and where the connection goes and we will confirm what Snyder installs and what you add. On a 1.9 duty the connection carries more than liquid: use a flexible connector to hard pipe and carry the first valve on its own support, never hung on the shell.
3. Rating. 1.9 specific gravity and 140 F. Heavier or hotter liquids need a different tank; ask us.
