Will it work for your application

The cone bottom geometry is the whole point: it self-drains so sediment and slurry do not cake on a flat floor. Filled with plain water (specific gravity 1.0) the contents weigh about 32,526 lb; at the tank's full 1.5 SG rating the contents can reach roughly 48,789 lb. Those two numbers drive everything below the tank - your stand, anchor pattern, and pad have to carry the heavier of the two for the fluid you actually store. The 1.5 SG rating is the hard ceiling: lighter-than-1.5 fluids are fine, denser fluids are not. This is a polyethylene tank rated to 1.5 specific gravity - confirm the resin grade (HDLPE vs XLPE) with our team before committing it to chemical service. At the 1.5 SG rating, this tank is suited to the following solutions when paired with the right hardware: Acetic Acid at 60% (PP/PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets, reference chart on request), Aluminum Sulfate at 50% (PVC, EPDM), Calcium Chloride at 40% (PVC, EPDM), DEF at 32.5% (316 stainless fittings, EPDM), Ferrous Sulfate at 20% (PVC, EPDM), Magnesium Chloride at 30% (PVC, EPDM), Sodium Carbonate at 30% (PVC, EPDM), Urea Solution at 50% (PP/PVC, EPDM), and Ozonated Water up to 10 PPM (PVC, EPDM, reference chart on request). Note the two exceptions to the usual PVC hardware: DEF needs 316 stainless, and acetic acid and urea need PP/PVC. Every chemical on this 1.5-SG list seals with EPDM gaskets - that is the tell. Several common chemicals exceed what a 1.5 SG tank should hold and require a 1.9 SG vessel instead - an honest call before you buy the wrong tank. These include Ethylene Glycol, Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulfate, Hydrochloric Acid (Viton gaskets), Hydrofluoric Acid (Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (Viton), Peracetic Acid (316 stainless, Aflas), Phosphoric Acid (Viton), Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Hypochlorite (Viton), Sodium Thiosulfate, Sulfuric Acid (CPVC, Viton), and Zinc Orthophosphate. The mistake to avoid

The costliest error on a cone-bottom dosing tank is matching the tank to your chemical but ignoring the gasket and fitting metallurgy. DEF at 32.5% works in this 1.5 SG tank, but it must run on 316 stainless fittings, not the PVC you would use for aluminum sulfate or calcium chloride. Sodium hypochlorite is a different problem entirely - it belongs in a 1.9 SG tank with Viton gaskets, not this one.
