Where it goes

This is the everyday black wall of the 7420000 shell: 4,500 gallons on a footprint 102 inches across, for stored water, a fertilizer solution, hypochlorite or another everyday chemical where the liquid or the site wants the dark. Full of water it puts 37,530 lb on the pad, and a rotationally moulded floor bears on all of it, so the slab is poured level and in full contact; our concrete pad sizing guide covers the design. A tank 142 inches tall on a small base is strapped to structure while it is empty, and because a black tank grows in the sun the cables are checked after the first full summer. Black runs warmer than white, so shade it if the liquid must stay cool. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. Up to 1.5 specific gravity and 120 F in this tank. Check it in the chemical compatibility guide; for acid, caustic or a dense coagulant, ask us about the heavy duty wall of the same shell.
2. The outlet. Tell us the liquid and the pipe size you are connecting and we confirm the fitting that goes in the wall. Put the pump below the outlet so gravity primes it, the first valve on its own support, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and a low-level float so the pump never draws air.
