This is the middle shape in Snyder's 4,600 to 4,900 gallon range: wider and shorter than Snyder's narrowest tanks at this volume, narrower and taller than the widest. At 154 inches it fits under the steel in most process buildings with room left for the manway lid, a fill line and a vent, and a 102 inch diameter is a pad most chemical rooms can give up. The heavy duty wall is the reason to pick this part number over the 1.5 rated version of the same shell: coagulants, brines, caustic and acid solutions, and other liquids well above the weight of water load the bottom of a tank in a way water never does, and the 1.9 rating is built for that. Openings and what to check before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 154 inches up, so plan a platform with a rail for whoever opens it. On a dense liquid the vent path is also the vapor path: size it to the delivery pump, keep a screen on it, and fill through a dip tube to the floor.
2. Outlet. No outlet fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the liquid, the pipe size and where the connection goes and we will confirm what Snyder installs and what you add on site. On a heavy liquid, carry the first valve on its own support and use a flexible connector to hard pipe.
3. Rating. 1.9 specific gravity and 140 F. Anything heavier or hotter needs a different tank; ask us.
