The 7430000 tanks are the liquid storage shells on this base, rated for brine and chemical, the C26 and C37 with a 3 inch fitting already in. The 7000000C137 holds the same 6,000 gallons on a 120 inch base at 132 inches, 56 inches lower, for a site with floor and no height; the 1002100C126 is the 5,000 on this base, 34 inches lower, and the 7140000C137 holds 6,900 on the ten foot base.

The three openings

• Outlet: 2 inch, at the base; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the slab. For a fire reserve a larger outlet is specified at order.
• Access: 18 inch manway, 188 inches up, reached from a fixed platform with a rail, never a ladder.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.

A 2 inch outlet feeds a pressure pump or a fire pump's suction without starving it, and fifteen feet of water above it gives the pump a flooded suction to the last few inches. The white wall shows the level in daylight from the ground, which on a tank this tall is worth a lot; a float switch for low level protects the pump. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
