The Snyder Industries 65 Gallon Plastic Horizontal Leg Tank is a 1.9 specific-gravity polyethylene haul tank built for moving liquid across the yard, down the road on a properly rated trailer, or between fill points. It measures 44 inches long by 32 inches wide by 20 inches tall, holds 65 gallons, and the integrally molded legs hold the load flat so it transports without rolling or shifting. At 1.9 SG it is rated well past the weight of water, which is what you want in a tank that gets agitated and hauled while full.

Will it work for your load?

Full of water this tank carries 542 pounds, and Snyder rates it for contents up to 1,030 pounds. That is no accident: 65 gallons of a 1.9 specific-gravity liquid weighs almost exactly 1,030 pounds, so the SG rating and the weight limit are the same constraint at full volume. A true 1.9 SG product fills the tank to capacity and reaches the weight ceiling at the same moment, which takes the guesswork out of sizing. The 32 x 44 inch footprint sits low on a skid or trailer deck, and the 20 inch height keeps the center of gravity down for stable horizontal transport. The exact resin grade should be confirmed before chemical service - verify the resin and build (for example linear versus cross-linked HDLPE versus XLPE) with us at 866-418-1777, because cross-linked resin handles certain aggressive oxidizers differently. The mistake to avoid

The fitting and gasket material has to match the chemical, not just the tank. The chemicals here fall into three fitting tiers: most run on standard PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets; the acids and oxidizers - hydrochloric, phosphoric, hydrofluoric, hydrofluosilicic, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite - need Viton gaskets; and DEF and peracetic acid call for 316 stainless. Sulfuric acid at 98% is the outlier, requiring CPVC fittings with Viton, not standard PVC. Order the wrong gasket and you get a leak at the bulkhead long before anything happens to the tank wall.
