Where it goes

At 80 by 54 inches this tank sits across a flatbed or a tandem axle trailer with room to spare, and at 58 inches tall it is a compact shape for the capacity. Full of water it is three tons, so this is a trailer or flatbed tank rather than a pickup tank, and the axle ratings decide the size. Strap it through the moulded leg recesses at both ends, never over the top opening, set the weight over the axles, and re-tension after the first few miles because a polyethylene tank settles onto its legs under load. The legs want a flat, continuous deck for the full footprint; on the ground, a level gravel or concrete pad under all the legs makes it a yard supply tank for a sprayer or a stock watering line. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. 2 inch, the size most farm valves, camlocks and transfer pumps already are. Match the hardware to it rather than reducing. The thread form and fitting material are not listed on this page; ask us before you buy the valve.
2. Top opening. 10 inches: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump discharge, to drop a float or a suction line in, and to get a hand inside to wipe it out. Confirm with us whether it ships as a lid or a manway and whether it is vented before you buy a replacement cover.
