The tank for a tight pad

This is the slim answer to bulk storage. A 102 inch circle is a small base for 7,500 gallons, so the tank fits in a narrow containment bay, between buildings or along a fence line where a wider tank of the same gallons would not. The trade is height. At 234 inches it is taller than most buildings it stands beside, so check the clearance to power lines and the reach of the delivery hose before you order, and plan a caged ladder and a platform at the manway. The 1.9 wall is what separates this part number from the standard black tank in the same shell, which we also list: choose it for dense fertilizer solutions, brines and heavier treatment chemicals. A narrow, tall tank concentrates its weight. Full at the rating, up to 118,845 lb sits on the 102 inch circle, so the pad must be engineered for it; start with our concrete pad sizing guide. Empty, the same height makes it the tank most likely to be pushed by wind, so set anchors in the slab and tie it down the day it is placed. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. Specific gravity 1.9 or less, service temperature at or below 120 F. Check the chemistry against polyethylene in our chemical compatibility guide.
2. The outlet. No bottom fitting is listed, only the manway. Tell us the liquid and the pipe size and we will confirm the fitting and material before anything is drilled. At this height the base fitting sees the most pressure of any opening, so support the valve on its own and use a flexible connector.
3. Filling from the top. The 18 inch threaded vented manway is 234 inches up. Most sites pipe a fill line up the side and down inside to the floor.
