Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Vent and fill. The 18 inch threaded vented manway, 186 inches up, is the fill point and the vent. Size the vent to the delivery pump and fill through a dip tube to the floor; a stream falling the height of the shell foams the headspace and coats the upper wall where vapour does the most damage, which our vapor headspace wall thickness article works through.
2. Access. A fixed platform with a rail and gate, and a hard-piped fill landed at the manway.
3. Outlet. This listing carries no outlet size. Tell us the liquid and the pipe you are tying into when you order and we confirm what Snyder fits to this shell before it ships. The drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.
4. Base plumbing. On a 1.9 duty every joint works harder than the shell. First valve on its own support off the pad, flexible connector to hard pipe, pump below the outlet with a low-level float, nothing rigid bolted to the wall.
