On a nurse trailer or a flatbed
At 140 by 90 inches the tank fills the deck of a nurse trailer or a flatbed, and the elliptical section keeps the load low for its 72 inches of height. Full of water the contents alone weigh close to 22000 lb, and heavier with fertilizer, so the trailer's axle and tire ratings and the tow vehicle set the limit, not the tank. What goes in it
Liquid fertilizer is the usual load for a heavy duty elliptical, with water and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles behind it. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a 2 inch reducer, factory installed. Run 3 inch plumbing off it for a fast transfer pump, or leave the reducer in and run 2 inch. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Inlet. None is fitted. Fill through the manway, or tell us where you want a fill port before the order ships.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
