Norwesco 2035 Gallon Horizontal Elliptical Leg Tank in Black

On a trailer, a truck or the ground

Width is the constraint. At 84 inches across, the tank fills a standard trailer deck edge to edge and is wider than most gates and personnel doors, so walk the route from the truck to the final position before delivery day. Full, it puts over eight tons on the deck with water and more with fertilizer, so the trailer's axles, hitch and tie-downs set the limit, not the tank. Strap it through the leg recesses, never over the manway, and use the support bands Norwesco makes for this tank wherever it rides on a vehicle; tell us the part number and we will put the right bands on the same order. On the ground the legs need a flat, continuous surface under the full 142 inch length; a pad that is true at the ends and dished in the middle loads the centre legs differently from the outer ones. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the end wall. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough to fill from a pump, drop a float in, and get a hand and a brush inside to clean. Keep the vent clear; a sealed tank collapses on draw-down.
