Buy this tank when the liquid is heavier than water and the floor space is tight. A vertical tank puts the most gallons on the smallest footprint: this one needs an 8 foot circle of flat pad and a ceiling above ten feet with room to fill. The 1.9 rating covers liquids up to 1.9 times the weight of water, where most dense liquid fertilizers and many treatment chemicals sit. What goes in it

Dense liquid fertilizer and water treatment chemicals are the usual loads, with water behind them. Check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill, and keep the contents under 120 F. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall, with a siphon tube so the tank draws from the bottom. A 2 inch valve threads straight in. A 2 inch outlet empties a tank this size slowly; if you need a faster drain, tell us before the order.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float or a level sensor in, and to get a hand and a brush inside.
