The 192 inch footprint decides this tank before the gallons do

Sixteen feet of elliptical body on legs is a ground problem first and a storage problem second. The surface has to be flat and continuous under the whole 192 inches, not merely level at the two ends, because the legs share the load along the length and any dish in the middle moves it onto the legs you did not intend to carry it. Check the run with a straightedge or a string line, and check it again after the first heavy rain if the tank sits on gravel. In return you get the lowest profile of any 4035 gallon leg tank: 75 inches tall clears doors and headers a round tank would not, and the wide, low section keeps a flat trailer stable. Buy the heavy duty version when the liquid is heavier than water. If it is water or near it, the standard rated 4035 gallon white leg tank is the same body for less. What goes in it

Dense liquid fertilizer is the usual load, then water and the treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite and sulfuric acid are the ones leg tank buyers ask about most. Keep the contents under 120 F. Blue cuts down the light reaching the contents compared with white while still showing a level line in good daylight. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the end wall, with a 2 inch reducer so you can run a 3 inch or a 2 inch valve from day one. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float in, and get a brush inside. On a tank this long, plan a platform to reach it.

Have a forklift or a loader on site to unload it, and walk the route from the truck to the pad with a tape first. At the tailgate, check the part number against 41269 on the bill of lading, look along all the legs for transit damage, and fill it with water the first time before it carries anything else.
